Sedation Children
The first visit
During the first visit we would like to see your child to get an idea of his or her needs so that we can best help him or her. We would like to know what your child has experienced at the previous dentist and what kind of character your child has. The first consultation takes approximately 30 minutes and we will never perform any treatment during this visit. After the conversation, we will draw up a treatment plan and determine whether your child is suitable for treatment under sedation or light anesthesia.
Before your child can be treated under sedation or light anesthesia, you must complete an extensive medical questionnaire so that the anesthesiologist can assess your child.
Compensation
Is sedation or light anesthesia reimbursed for children? The anesthesia is not reimbursed by basic insurance. The costs are 225 euros per 30 minutes.
Waiting times
The intake can often take place within 1 to 2 weeks, but for treatment under sedation or light anesthesia we use an average waiting time of 4 to 8 weeks.
Speed
Do you also perform emergency treatments under sedation or light anesthesia? No, we do not perform emergency treatments under sedation or light anesthesia. But sometimes, if the sedation or anesthesia date is close, we can still help your child. For more information about this, it is best to contact us.
Types of treatments under anesthesia
We can perform all treatments, except placing implants. Under sedation or light anesthesia, we perform all treatments necessary to get your child's teeth healthy again. This means that your child only needs to be treated once under sedation or light anesthesia.
