Your intake at Flevo Dentist
The first time
Finally, the time has come. You have registered and soon you will have an appointment with the dentist to have your teeth treated again. When you make an appointment again after years of fear, this can be experienced as very exciting. For many people, another threshold, because what can you expect?
You will meet us at the reception and we will try not to make you wait too long in the waiting room, because the first time at the dentist is experienced as exciting. If you are nervous, it can be nice to bring music and listen to it before you are called. So think in advance about what you want to bring. Do you find it really difficult? Then it might be a good idea to bring a family member or a coach.
Health check
The dentist himself or an assistant will pick you up and bring you inside. There you will have an extensive introductory interview with the dentist. First, you will be asked to fill in a list of general questions about your health. The dentist will go through these with you. You will also be asked about your wishes and any complaints regarding your oral health. What is your own impression of your teeth and what is your history with the dentist? We try to map out the possible reasons for your fear of the dentist. This allows us to take this into account during the treatment and choose the right fear-reducing method for you.
After the extensive conversation, an x-ray will take place to see from outside the mouth what is going on. If you want that yourself at that moment, we can take a look in the mouth to complete the oral examination.

After the examination, the dentist will make a treatment plan with the corresponding budget. The dentist will then discuss the treatment options with you and together we will choose the best treatment plan for you. The goal is to get your teeth pain-free and inflammation-free for the coming years with the chosen treatment plan.
